A Shared History of Female Muscle Fandom

We come from different countries, different walks of life, different levels of society. Some of us are younger, some older. We are not the same, but we do have one thing in common: we all love female muscle.

That much is obvious, but what has that meant to our lives exactly?

We all share a preference for women who most people would reject as ‘unattractive’ at best, ‘disgusting’ at worst. Our taste is outside the mainstream, and so, like others who live on the fringes of society (whether by choice or circumstance, whether fully or partially) our lives have been affected by this fact.

So what exactly does a life of female muscle fandom mean? What exactly are the experiences that we share?

I've had this idea knocking around for a little while of a page on the blog where readers can send in their female muscle memories. Examples would be, OK, the 'classic' memories like 'The First Time I Saw a Muscular Woman', or 'The First Time I Bought a Magazine to Look at the Pictures of Muscular Women' etc, but also anything else that is a particular memory, either good or bad.

The only thing it MUST be is a unique experience for female muscle heads. My hope is that if there are enough contributions, it'll become a sort of collective female muscle memory, a sort of shared history of female muscle lovin'.

Am I making sense?

Perhaps you have memories of sitting and watching ‘Gladiators’ with your family and feeling a bit awkward? Perhaps you want to share memories of a session, or a chance meeting with a bodybuilder in real life? Maybe you are an artist and can recall the moment you were first inspired to make female muscle art? Have you been to a show? Perhaps you would like to share that experience?

I’m happy to publish your memories, either credited to you or anonymously, as you wish.

I've already been sent a little story by one long-time reader about buying a magazine at the newsagent's with some pics of Zuzana Korinkova. Although the magazine may be different, the 'newsagent's' experience is an example of something all of us (of a certain age) went through. What’s your experience?

As an example, this is the kind of thing I'm hoping to identify.

The Zuzana story will go up some time in the New Year. In the meantime, I’d be delighted to hear from any other readers who care to share at the usual address: 6ft1swell@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing your female muscle memories. I suspect I, and others, will have memories just like yours as well...
